COVID Safety Protocols for Our Residential Retreats | 2022-23

We are delighted to officially welcome you to our in-person Alexander Technique Residential Retreats, whether it will be in Malibu, Ojai, Ca. or Tuscany, Italy.

Our first priority is to protect the health of everyone who comes to our Retreats, including participants, staff, and teachers. We will be following county, state, and federal (CDC) COVID-19 guidelines that are in place at the time of each Retreat, and with additional significant safety protocols, including limited capacity for retreats. In Italy, we will follow all official government guidelines.

Documentation of vaccination is required in the form of the original vaccination card or a printed copy of the vaccination card, along with an appropriate ID matching the name displayed on the card. This can be sent when registering for a Retreat.

Safety Protocols

The following for all of our Retreat requires safety protocols:

  • Vaccination: All staff, teachers, and participants must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 two weeks or more before arrival. We require everyone to show proof of vaccination.
  • Masks Required: Optional for each person. This will depend on the official guidelines at the start of each Retreat.
  • Sick Policy: If a participant, staff, or teacher becomes sick, they will be asked to remain in their room, and if severe, return home. We will also ask them to take an antigen self-test onsite, and if they test positive for COVID-19, they must exit the Retreat. If they cannot return home due to travel restrictions, we will support their quarantine to the best of our ability.

Caring for the Community

Alexander Technique Retreats International welcomes people from around the U.S. and the world to participate in our retreats. We intend to include as many people as possible. We have chosen to require COVID-19 vaccination for our in-person retreats. This is not a decision we have made lightly. It reflects our obligation to keep our retreats and event spaces as safe as possible.
